Flight Simulation Air Rally, 2012-2013 (concluded)

Who is the best pilot? An Air Rally is a great way to find out. It is a competition to discover the pilot with the best all-around flying skills. Neither a race, nor a contest of speed or derring-do, an Air Rally is a test of precision and accuracy in basic flying of a general aviation aircraft:

Can you maintain an assigned altitude?
Can you hold your course and heading?
Can you follow a flight plan and land your plane safely on target and on time?

If you think you can do these things, or better yet, if you’d like to have the fun and challenge of learning how to do these things, then come fly a simulated Air Rally flight in the Flight Sim Zone at the Hiller Aviation Museum!

Getting Started

Fill out a registration form (download it below) and bring it with you to the Flight Sim Zone at the Hiller Aviation Museum. You can receive an advance copy of the flight plan for the Air Rally flight in the Flight Sim Zone, or from the museum Gift Shop or download it from the link, below.

You can hone your skills and practice the flight in the Flight Sim Zone as many times as you want before logging your “official” attempt. A Flight Sim Zone instructor will assist you as well as score your official flight. Pilots who complete the official simulated flight will be awarded special silver wings. High scores will be posted on this Air Rally webpage.
